After completing her Bachelor of Architecture, Punitha built over six years of experience in Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) and energy efficiency before joining SUHO. She worked as an ESD Consultant in Melbourne, delivering sustainability outcomes across both commercial and residential projects through energy modelling, compliance reporting, and performance analysis. With expertise in tools such as DesignBuilder and HERO, Punitha has supported projects in achieving Net Zero and NABERS targets, while preparing NCC Section J and J1V3 documentation, NatHERS and Green Star compliance, and providing practical design recommendations to improve building performance, thermal comfort, and energy efficiency.
Punitha brings a thoughtful and solutions-focused approach to her work, driven by a passion for sustainability and decarbonisation. “I’m really excited to see how different design strategies can positively impact the built environment by improving energy performance and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. I love exploring practical and innovative solutions that help projects become more sustainable, and supporting teams to make informed decisions that lead to real, measurable outcomes.”
She also enjoys sharing her knowledge with clients, architects, and project teams, helping demystify sustainability metrics and compliance requirements while highlighting the long-term value of energy-efficient design.
